It accepts a boring bar with a 1/8 inch inner diameter and fits into a 3/4 inch outer diameter tool station. The holder measures 2-3/4 inches overall length with a 0.88 inch head diameter, providing a compact, rigid setup for precision internal grooving and boring operations. Two lock-down screws secure the bar firmly, reducing chatter and maintaining repeatable tool position during cuts. Machinists and tool and die professionals install this holder on lathes and turning centers where small-bore work is required.
This bar holder is suited for light-duty internal grooving, ID turning, and small-bore finishing operations on manual and CNC lathes. The Series DH designation identifies its tool station compatibility and dimensional family. Installation is performed by qualified machinists following shop safety procedures. Power down and lock out the lathe spindle before installing or adjusting the bar holder. Insert the boring bar to the recommended engagement depth and tighten both lock-down screws evenly to secure the bar without distortion. Verify bar runout and tool overhang before returning the machine to service.
