The ACCUPRO A-6200080R is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in small-diameter applications. Measuring 0.8 mm (0.0315 inches) in diameter with a 50 mm overall length, this bit features a 140-degree point angle that promotes accurate entry and reduces walking on hard materials. The bright, uncoated finish maintains a sharp cutting edge without added coating thickness, making it well suited for tight-tolerance holes. Right-hand spiral flutes with a regular helix aid chip evacuation during through-hole and blind-hole operations. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators install this bit for high-precision micro-drilling work.
This miniature series drill bit is used in applications requiring small, precise holes in metals, composites, and similar materials. Typical scenarios include printed circuit board production, instrument manufacturing, mold work, and precision machining environments where standard small drill bits are too large. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 3 mm diameter fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks sized for miniature tooling. No coolant-through capability is present, so surface-applied coolant or dry cutting techniques apply based on material requirements.
Designed as a miniature series replacement or standard drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held precision drilling equipment fitted with collet or drill chucks accepting a 3 mm straight shank.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the collet or chuck is clean and undamaged before seating the shank. Secure the shank to the full depth recommended by the chuck manufacturer to prevent runout. At 0.8 mm diameter, carbide is brittle — avoid lateral pressure, interrupted cuts without proper feed control, or off-center starting positions that can cause breakage.
