The ACCUPRO A-6120138R is a solid carbide micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in miniature applications. It features a 1.38 mm (0.0543 inches) diameter with a 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank and a 120-degree drill point angle, making it suited for tight-tolerance work in hard or abrasive materials. The bright/uncoated finish keeps tolerances predictable and allows the operator to inspect tool wear directly. With a 30.00 mm overall length and a 6.70 mm spiral flute, this bit is built for short, controlled cuts in micro-scale drilling operations. Machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators are the primary users of this type of tooling.
This drill bit fits into miniature-series machining applications where small-diameter, high-accuracy hole generation is required. Typical use cases include PCB drilling fixtures, instrument components, medical device components, and precision mechanical assemblies. The right-hand cutting direction and standard point type make it compatible with conventional CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand-piece setups running appropriate spindle speeds for carbide micro tooling. The spiral flute promotes chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth holes.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature series replacement or stock drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, micro drill presses, and precision hand-piece units accepting a 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Micro carbide drill bits require proper collet or chuck seating to minimize runout before use. Ensure the spindle and workholding are clean and free of debris prior to chucking. Carbide is brittle — avoid side-loading or prying; feed rates and spindle speeds must be appropriate for the material and diameter to prevent tip fracture. No coolant-through capability is present on this bit, so external coolant or air blast is recommended when drilling deeper than two diameters in ferrous or abrasive materials.
