The ACCUPRO A-6120044R is a solid carbide micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. It carries a 0.0173-inch diameter and a 120-degree drill point angle, making it suitable for small-diameter hole work in hard and abrasive materials. The bright, uncoated finish preserves dimensional accuracy at the cutting edge. With an overall length of 25.00 mm and a straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 1.00 mm, this bit fits standard precision collet toolholders used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and dedicated micro-drilling setups. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and PCB fabricators are the primary users of this tool class.
This bit belongs to the Miniature series and is intended for precision metalworking, electronics manufacturing, and instrument fabrication where small-diameter holes are required. The spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth holes. The right-hand cutting direction matches standard clockwise spindle rotation. No coolant-through capability is present, so flood coolant or mist cooling applied externally is the recommended approach for heat management during extended drilling cycles.
Designed as a miniature-series solid carbide drill bit for use in precision collet toolholders accepting a 1.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank, compatible with CNC machining centers and micro-drilling spindles configured for right-hand rotation.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with micro-drilling parameters and toolholder runout requirements. Ensure the spindle and collet are clean and within runout tolerance before seating the bit, as even minor runout at this diameter will cause premature breakage. Power down and lock out the machine before changing or inspecting the bit. Do not exceed the recommended feed and speed range for the material being drilled; micro carbide tools are brittle and will fracture if deflected or overloaded.
