The ACCUPRO A-6120036R is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight tolerances and small-diameter applications. It measures 0.0142 inches in diameter with a 120-degree drill point angle and a 25.00 mm overall length. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well-suited for materials where coating buildup or heat transfer is a concern. The straight-cylindrical shank and right-hand cutting direction make this bit compatible with standard drill chucks and CNC spindles. It belongs to ACCUPRO's Miniature Series, intended for machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision fabricators working in micro-drilling operations.
This micro drill bit is used in precision machining environments where small hole diameters are required, including PCB fabrication, watchmaking, aerospace component drilling, and fine instrument manufacturing. The spiral flute geometry and standard point type support clean chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth holes. At 0.0142 inches diameter, this bit operates at the low end of the micro-drill range and requires controlled feed rates and stable workholding to prevent breakage. It is sold individually but requires a minimum order of 10 units.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand tools equipped with collets or chucks capable of holding a 1.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank, typical of micro-drill setups in toolroom and production machining environments.
Micro drill bits at this diameter are extremely fragile and must be installed in a well-aligned, runout-minimized collet or chuck. Power down and de-energize the spindle completely before changing tooling. Use appropriate feed and speed parameters for solid carbide micro drills in the material being drilled — excessive feed pressure is the primary cause of breakage at this diameter. Workpiece fixturing must be rigid and vibration-free to prevent deflection and bit failure.
