The ACCUPRO A-6100181R is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 1.81 mm (0.0713 inches) diameter and a 120-degree drill point angle, this bit delivers accurate, clean entry in hard and abrasive materials where high-speed steel tooling falls short. The bright/uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. At 38 mm overall length with a 12 mm flute length and a 2 mm straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard micro-drilling setups. It is part of the Miniature Series and is sold individually with a minimum order of 10 units.
This micro drill bit is suited for machinists, tool-and-die makers, electronics assembly shops, and precision fabrication environments. It handles small-hole drilling in circuit boards, instrument components, watch parts, medical device components, and other applications requiring sub-2 mm hole diameters. The right-hand cutting direction and spiral flute geometry support standard CNC machining centers and bench-top drill presses configured for micro work. Its solid carbide construction holds up in hardened steels, stainless steel, cast iron, and nonferrous alloys where rigidity at small diameters is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for micro-drilling setups using a 2 mm straight cylindrical shank interface on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision micro-drilling spindles.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with micro-tooling handling practices. Secure the 2 mm shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck rated for the intended spindle speed before operation. At sub-2 mm diameters, carbide is brittle — avoid side loading, off-center entry, or excessive feed pressure that can cause breakage. Follow the machine manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for solid carbide micro drills in the target material.
