The ACCUPRO A-6100100R is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for small-diameter drilling in precision machining applications. With a 1 mm cutting diameter and a 120-degree point angle, it produces accurate entry points and clean through-holes in hard and abrasive materials. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for use in materials where coating adhesion or thermal buildup is not a concern. The straight-cylindrical shank at 1.50 mm diameter seats securely in standard collet chucks and micro drill chucks. An overall length of 30 mm keeps the tool compact and rigid, reducing deflection during high-speed drilling operations. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and PCB fabricators commonly specify this bit for work requiring tight positional accuracy at sub-2 mm diameters.
This micro drill bit fits into light-duty CNC machining centers, benchtop drill presses, and hand-held precision drilling stations used in electronics manufacturing, watchmaking, medical device fabrication, and instrument tooling. The 8 mm flute length accommodates shallow to moderate-depth holes appropriate to the 1 mm diameter. Right-hand spiral flutes clear chips efficiently without the need for through-coolant, keeping the setup simple. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units, making it practical for shop stocking or production runs where bit replacement is routine.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production-stock micro drill bit for use in standard collet chucks and micro drill chuck systems that accept a 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation of micro drill bits should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with small-diameter tooling. Always power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the bit from the chuck. Ensure the collet or chuck is clean and undamaged before seating the shank, as runout at this diameter magnifies rapidly with any chuck contamination. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended spindle speed range for 1 mm carbide tooling, and inspect the cutting edge under magnification before each use to confirm it is free of chips or micro-fractures.
