The ACCUPRO A-6100047R is a solid carbide micro drill bit engineered for high-precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. At 0.0185 inches in diameter, it belongs to the Miniature Series and is built for work where standard drill bits cannot achieve the required hole size or positional accuracy. The 120-degree drill point angle provides a stable, self-centering entry into the workpiece. The bright, uncoated finish keeps tolerances tight on the cutting edge. With an overall length of 25.00 mm and a spiral flute design, this bit is well suited to machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabricators who need reliable performance at very small diameters.
This micro drill bit is used in precision machining environments including PCB drilling, instrument manufacturing, medical device fabrication, and fine mechanical assembly. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 1.00 mm shank diameter is compatible with standard collet-style chucks and micro-drill holders. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC and manual drill press setups. The 3.60 mm flute length provides adequate chip clearance for the depth of cut typical in micro-drilling operations on metals, plastics, and composite materials.
Designed as a miniature-series replacement or stock drill bit for use in standard collet-style micro-drill chucks and holders accepting a 1.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with micro-diameter tooling practices. Ensure the spindle and chuck are fully powered down and at rest before inserting or removing the bit. Micro carbide drills are brittle at small diameters — avoid side-loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed rate reduction, or excessive runout in the holder, as any of these conditions will cause premature breakage. Verify collet concentricity before beginning the operation.
