The ACCUPRO 95172690 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with AlCrTiN for heat and wear resistance, this tool handles high-speed cutting in ferrous and hardened materials. It features a variable helix and variable index geometry that reduces harmonic vibration and chatter during aggressive cuts. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, 3/4 inch length of cut, and 2-1/2 inch overall length, it fits standard tool holders and collets used across vertical machining centers and CNC mills. This is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool suited for machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill is well suited for finish and semi-finish milling operations in steel, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys where tool life and surface finish matter. The straight cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance ensures a precise, repeatable fit in precision collets and end mill holders. The long length type provides additional reach in deeper pocket or slot applications while maintaining rigidity. Machinists working in job shop, production, or aerospace environments will find this geometry effective for slot milling, profiling, and contouring passes.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling option for 1/4 inch straight shank collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit holders used in CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the collet or holder bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine tool builder guidelines for runout verification and minimum shank engagement depth.
