The ACCUPRO 95172661 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 3/8-inch mill diameter, a 0.0300-inch corner radius, and four flutes with a variable index and variable helix geometry. The AlCrTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-speed cutting of hardened steels, stainless steels, and other difficult-to-machine alloys. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, and the right-hand spiral flutes promote efficient chip evacuation. This end mill is installed and used by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals in shop and production environments.
This end mill fits standard 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical tool holders and collet chucks used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The Series VS designation indicates variable index and variable helix construction, which reduces harmonic chatter during deep-side-wall finishing and profiling passes. With a 5/8-inch length of cut and a 2-inch overall length, it is suited for regular-length slotting, profiling, and contouring operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is a single-end tool and is not regrindable to its original geometry once worn beyond usable limits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-production solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool holder secured in a proper end mill holder or collet before tightening. Verify runout against the published TIR maximum of 0.0039 inches after mounting to ensure dimensional accuracy. Follow shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines when setting tool offsets and feeds and speeds for the workpiece material.
