The ACCUPRO 95172660 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling operations in demanding shop environments. Built with a 0.5 inch diameter, a 0.0150 inch corner radius, and four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, this tool delivers clean, consistent corner geometry on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The AlCrTiN PVD coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in high-speed and dry-cutting applications. Variable index and variable helix geometry reduce harmonic chatter, making it well suited for aggressive material removal and finishing passes alike. Machinists and toolroom professionals rely on this geometry for precision profiling, slotting, and contouring work.
This end mill is used in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers across job shops, aerospace, die and mold, and general manufacturing environments. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, increasing setup flexibility. The long flute length of 1.5 inches supports deeper cuts without requiring extended-reach tooling in most standard applications. The straight-cylindrical shank at 0.5 inch diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in production machining setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production tooling option for CNC machining centers accepting a 0.5 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the ACCUPRO VS Series long-flute end mill line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked state before changing tooling. Verify toolholder runout does not exceed the TIR maximum of 0.0016 inch after seating to maintain dimensional accuracy and tool life. Consult speeds and feeds data for the specific workpiece material before initiating a cut.
