The ACCUPRO 95172607 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built to Series ST long-reach specifications, it features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.0300 inch corner radius. The 7-flute configuration supports high feed rates and superior surface finish on hardened steels, stainless alloys, and exotic materials. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal stability and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals on CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring extended reach capability.
This end mill fits production and job shop environments where long-reach access to deep pockets, stepped features, or restricted workpiece geometries is required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. The Smart-Weldon shank type and h6 shank tolerance ensure secure, repeatable tool-holder engagement. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. No chipbreaker geometry is present, making this tool best suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where surface integrity is the priority.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and mills accepting 1/2 inch shank toolholders with Smart-Weldon or standard 1/2 inch collet systems. Shank diameter tolerance is h6 for precision fit. Suitable for right-hand spindle operation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout does not exceed the maximum TIR of 0.0004 inches before initiating a cut to avoid premature edge wear or tool failure.
