The ACCUPRO 95171875 is a solid carbide roughing finishing end mill designed for aggressive material removal followed by semi-finish passes in a single tool. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with zirconium nitride (ZrN), it handles elevated cutting speeds and resists wear in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. The chipbreaker geometry breaks chips into manageable segments, reducing heat buildup and cutting forces during roughing operations. The 3/4 inch diameter, 37-degree helix angle, and right-hand flute direction combine to deliver efficient chip evacuation. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals reach for this end mill when they need to reduce cycle time without sacrificing surface finish quality.
This end mill suits vertical and horizontal milling centers running ferrous alloys, aluminum, and general engineering materials. With a 1.625 inch length of cut and 6 inch overall length, it has sufficient reach for pocketing, slotting, and peripheral milling operations in both job shop and production environments. The straight shank fits standard ER and milling chuck toolholders with a 3/4 inch bore. Center cutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 3/4 inch straight-shank roughing finishing end mills in standard ER collet chucks, milling chucks, and hydraulic toolholders with a 3/4 inch bore.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank to the recommended insertion depth for the toolholder type in use and torque the clamping nut or set screw per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and chipbreaker geometry for chips or coating damage before each use.
