The ACCUPRO 95171872 is a solid carbide roughing/finishing end mill designed for aggressive material removal with a refined surface finish in a single tool. Built with three flutes, a 37-degree helix angle, and an integrated chipbreaker geometry, it manages chip evacuation efficiently during high-feed roughing passes. The 3/4 inch diameter, extra-long 6 inch overall length, and 3 inch length of cut make it well-suited for deep-pocket and extended-reach milling applications. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports sharp edges and resists chipping under interrupted or continuous cutting conditions.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers for roughing and semi-finishing operations in metals, composites, and plastics where depth of cut and chip control are priorities. The extra-long OAL allows access to deep cavities and tall workpiece profiles without requiring custom tooling. The straight shank and right-hand cutting direction are standard for most vertical and horizontal milling setups. It is a single-end tool, so it is replaced rather than indexed when worn. Machinists and tooling specialists working in job shops, production machining, and precision fabrication will find this tool appropriate for high-removal-rate programs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for CNC milling machines and machining centers accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the straight shank in a properly sized collet chuck or end mill holder, ensuring minimum shank engagement per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm spindle and axis drives are fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify runout at the cutting diameter after installation to prevent premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
