The ACCUPRO 95171827 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin carbide stock, it delivers consistent edge integrity across demanding cuts. The 2-flute, spiral-flute geometry with a 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup at the cutting zone. A zirconium nitride (ZrN) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in abrasive applications. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into workpiece material. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight dimensional tolerances are required.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge milling in a wide range of shop environments, from job shops running production work to maintenance departments handling one-off parts. The extended reach geometry, with a 1.125-inch reach length, provides clearance for deeper cavity work without requiring a longer overall tool. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation make it compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. It is appropriate for use in both conventional and climb milling strategies depending on material and machine rigidity.
Designed as a standard shank solid carbide square end mill compatible with 3/8-inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines using right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tool-holding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder to the recommended grip length and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before engaging the cut.
