The ACCUPRO 95170306 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. With a 1/2 inch cutting diameter and 1-1/2 inch length of cut, this four-flute tool is built for high material removal rates combined with fine surface finishes. The variable helix and variable index geometry reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during cut, improving stability in both roughing and finishing passes. An AlCrTiN coating provides excellent heat resistance and wear life at elevated cutting speeds. Machinists and tool-and-die shops working in hardened steels, stainless, and aerospace alloys will find this tool well suited to their work.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank is appropriate. The long-length configuration, with a 3 inch overall length, gives additional reach for deeper pockets and stepped features. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make this compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional mills. It is a single-end tool used in ferrous and non-ferrous material-removal operations across job shop, production, and toolroom environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 shank diameter tolerance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in a collet or end mill holder of the correct bore size and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use.
