The ACCUPRO 95170099 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. It features seven flutes with a 38-degree right-hand spiral helix, providing aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action at higher feed rates. The AlTiCrN coating delivers elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 9/16-inch length of cut, this single-end mill is suited for finish milling, slotting, and profiling passes where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are required. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this geometry for high-speed steel and hardened alloy applications.
This end mill is applied in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills where a 7/16-inch diameter tool path is needed. It is appropriate for finish profiling, shoulder milling, and semi-finish slotting in steels, stainless alloys, and similar hard-to-machine materials. The micrograin carbide substrate and seven-flute count make it a practical choice when surface finish and tool rigidity matter more than chip volume. The HS series designation indicates this is a high-speed geometry optimized for modern CNC cutting parameters.
Designed as a standard 7/16-inch shank square end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling chucks sized for 7/16-inch tooling across CNC and manual milling platforms.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended gauge line and torque retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. This end mill is not center-cutting and must not be used for direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled or ramped entry path.
