The ACCUPRO 95170062 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 5/8-inch cutting diameter, a 2-1/8-inch length of cut, and a 0.0600-inch corner radius that produces consistent, chip-resistant edges on finished surfaces. The five-flute geometry combined with a 38-degree helix angle promotes aggressive material removal while maintaining surface finish quality. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance, extending tool life in high-speed and dry cutting conditions. This end mill is a single-end, centercutting tool built for use by machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, and contours in ferrous and hardened materials where corner durability is critical. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher feeds and speeds compared to standard-grade carbide. The straight cylindrical shank measures 5/8 inch in diameter, making it compatible with standard collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is categorized under the ACCUPRO Series HS lineup, which targets high-speed and hard-material applications in both production and prototype machining settings.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for Series HS corner radius end mills with a 5/8-inch straight cylindrical shank. Compatible with standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders sized for 5/8-inch shank diameters on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine in an e-stop or powered-down state before tool changes. Ensure the shank seating depth meets the toolholder manufacturer minimum engagement specification. Inspect collet or holder bore for runout before tightening, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on multi-flute carbide tools. Do not exceed the toolholder torque spec marked on the holder body.
