The ACCUPRO 95170042 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding cutting applications. It features a 5/8 inch diameter, a 7/8 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length. The four-flute, single-end design incorporates a 0.090 inch corner radius and a 38-degree helix angle with variable index geometry, which helps reduce chatter and improve surface finish. An AlCrTiN coating provides high heat and wear resistance, making this end mill well suited for cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult materials. Center-cutting capability allows both plunge and peripheral milling operations. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal milling operations, including profiling, slotting, and contouring where a blended corner radius is required to reduce stress concentration in the workpiece. The straight-cylindrical shank accommodates standard collet and end mill holder tooling systems. Its micrograin carbide substrate and right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration suit high-speed finishing and semi-finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Both manual mill and CNC machining center applications are typical for this tool series.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 5/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank end mill.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank fully within the collet or end mill holder to the depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer, and verify runout before beginning the cut. Inspect the tool and holder for contamination or damage before each setup. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when changing or setting tooling.
