The ACCUPRO 95169790 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built to Series HS standards, this single-end tool features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 2 inch overall length. The AlCrTiN coating improves heat and oxidation resistance, making it well suited for cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and high-temp materials at elevated speeds. With 5 flutes and a variable index geometry, this end mill delivers smooth chip evacuation and reduced chatter across a range of cutting conditions. It is center cutting and accepts direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where a corner radius profile is required to reduce stress concentrations at the base of a milled feature. The 0.020 inch corner radius adds edge strength and produces a blended fillet in the floor-to-wall transition of a slot or pocket. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional spindle setups. The straight cylindrical shank with 1/4 inch diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found in shop environments. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC programmers working in aerospace, mold making, and general precision machining will find this tool appropriate for finish and semi-finish passes.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 1/4 inch ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling chucks used in CNC machining centers and knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to maximize tool life and surface finish quality.
