The ACCUPRO 95169734 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining applications. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The five-flute design with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at higher feed rates. An AlCrTiN coating provides heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in hard and abrasive materials. The corner radius measures 0.030 inches, reducing stress concentrations at the cutting edge and improving part finish at floor-to-wall transitions. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job shop environments.
This end mill suits vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills where corner radius geometry is required. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry and ramp milling without a pre-drilled start hole. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation match standard spindle rotation. A variable index flute spacing helps reduce harmonic chatter during aggressive cuts. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard ER or end mill holders with a 1/2 inch bore. Typical applications include finishing passes on mold cavities, die work, aerospace components, and hardened steel part features where blend radii are specified.
Designed as an OEM-style cutting tool for use in standard 1/2 inch end mill or collet holders on CNC machining centers and compatible milling equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended gauge length and torque the set screw or collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use and replace the tool if edge integrity is compromised.
