The ACCUPRO 95169718 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 1/2 inch diameter with a 0.030 inch corner radius and a 4-flute spiral configuration with a 38-degree helix angle. The AlCrTiN coating provides high-temperature and wear resistance suited to hard materials and aggressive cutting parameters. At 4 inches overall length with a 5/8 inch length of cut, this is a centercutting, single-end tool with an extended reach design. It weighs 0.06 pounds and is built from micrograin solid carbide for edge retention and dimensional stability. CNC machinists and toolroom operators working in aerospace, die-mold, and general precision machining are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing operations where corner geometry must be maintained across the full depth of cut. The 1-1/2 inch reach length and 0.475 inch neck diameter make it effective for profiling deep pockets, slots, and contoured surfaces where tool clearance is limited. The variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic chatter during high-speed cutting. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. It is used in job shops, aerospace component shops, and precision die-mold environments where surface finish and corner integrity are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting 1/2 inch shank toolholders, including ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit holders with 1/2 inch bore.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock engaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Ensure the shank is clean and fully seated in the toolholder to the recommended gauge length before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts to avoid premature edge wear.
