The ACCUPRO 95169024 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It carries a 1/4 inch diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut and a 2 inch overall length. The 7-flute geometry combined with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at aggressive feed rates. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other abrasive materials. This is a single-end, non-centercutting tool suited for side milling, slotting, and profiling passes where the 0.020 inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and reduces stress concentrations at part corners.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills across production shops, tool rooms, and job shops. Its straight-cylindrical 1/4 inch shank makes it compatible with standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic tool holders used in light-to-medium milling operations. The micrograin carbide substrate and AlCrTiN coating make it well suited for dry or near-dry machining of ferrous materials, including hardened tool steels and stainless. It is a non-centercutting tool, so plunge entries should be made with a pilot hole or ramping toolpath rather than direct vertical plunge.
Designed for use in standard 1/4 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills requiring a straight-cylindrical shank tool.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended insertion depth per the tool holder specification to prevent pullout under load. Because this is a non-centercutting end mill, program ramp or helical entry moves rather than direct plunge cuts.
