The ACCUPRO 95168847 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0350 inch corner radius, and a 4-flute spiral configuration with a right-hand cutting direction. The flutes run at a variable helix angle, which reduces chatter and improves surface finish across a range of cutting conditions. An AlTiN coating provides oxidation resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. This end mill is single-end and centercutting, making it suitable for plunge entries as well as profiling, slotting, and contouring passes. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers where high-performance carbide tooling is required. The stub length-of-cut designation keeps the flute length to 1.25 inches, which limits deflection and supports rigidity in demanding cuts. The 3 inch overall length and 1 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard end mill holders, shrink-fit chucks, and collet systems of the appropriate bore size. Typical applications include finish milling of hardened steels, stainless steels, and aerospace alloys where edge integrity and corner geometry accuracy are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 1 inch bore end mill holders, shrink-fit chucks, and collet systems across vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator using appropriate toolholding equipment rated for the 1 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool in the holder, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide end mills. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for set screws or hydraulic chuck actuation — do not use values not specified for your holder model.
