The ACCUPRO 95168784 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and 5 flutes, this tool is built to deliver smooth chip evacuation and a refined surface finish in a single-pass operation. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic vibration during cutting, improving tool life and finish quality. An nACRo coating adds heat and wear resistance, making this end mill well-suited for harder workpiece materials. Machinists and toolroom operators working in CNC milling centers will find this a capable choice for both roughing and finishing passes.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines where a 1/4 inch shank is compatible with the collet or tool holder system. The 3 inch overall length provides adequate reach for most standard fixture setups without sacrificing rigidity. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction suit the majority of conventional CNC spindle configurations. The micrograin carbide substrate supports use in ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including hardened steels, stainless alloys, and aluminum, when paired with appropriate feeds and speeds. This is a single-end tool; it is not reversible once the cutting edge is worn.
Designed for use in CNC milling machines equipped with 1/4 inch collets or end mill holders. Suitable for a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications where a 1/4 inch shank, single-end square profile tool is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet system is disengaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Use a calibrated torque wrench when tightening collet nuts to the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to confirm proper tool engagement before commencing a cut.
