The ACCUPRO 95168772 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an nACRo coating, this tool delivers high hardness and thermal resistance in demanding cutting environments. It features a 5/8 inch diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.0150 inch chamfer width. The variable helix geometry reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation in both conventional and climb milling passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC machining centers and manual mills will find this a dependable single-end tool for consistent chamfer results.
This end mill is suited for use in production and job-shop environments where controlled chamfer geometry is required on tight-tolerance parts. The 4-flute, right-hand cut, right-hand spiral configuration is a standard setup for general-purpose milling in steel, stainless, and hardened alloys. The nACRo coating extends tool life in high-speed and dry cutting applications. With a 5/8 inch shank diameter and 3-1/2 inch overall length, it mounts directly in standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders sized for 5/8 inch shanks. Centercutting capability allows for direct plunge entry when needed.
Designed as a direct-fit tool for standard 5/8 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholding systems used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Inspect the shank and holder bore for chips or damage before seating the tool. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material being machined.
