The ACCUPRO 95168712 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers heat resistance and wear life in demanding cutting environments. The 1/2 inch diameter cutter features a 0.0300 inch corner radius on a 4-flute geometry, producing a controlled edge blend while maintaining material removal rates. With a 6 inch overall length and extended reach configuration, this end mill is suited for deep-pocket and long-reach milling applications. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill fits residential prototype shops, job shops, and production manufacturing environments where tight tolerances and edge quality matter. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, giving operators flexibility in tool path programming. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation match standard spindle configurations on most CNC machining centers. The 5/8 inch length of cut and 3-3/8 inch reach length make it well suited for milling slots, pockets, and profiles in hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other abrasive materials where AlTiN coating provides a thermal barrier at the cutting edge.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 1/2 inch toolholders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC tooling and cutting parameters. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended gauge line to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and running initial cuts.
