The ACCUPRO 95168692 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in milling operations. It features a 0.5 inch diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length, making it suited for deeper reach applications where a standard-length tool falls short. The three-flute, spiral-flute geometry runs at a 60-degree helix angle for aggressive chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. An AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extends tool life in hard and abrasive materials. The micrograin carbide substrate adds toughness and wear resistance. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and run this tool in production and job shop environments.
This end mill is configured for right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction and is centercutting, allowing plunge operations as well as standard peripheral and slot milling. The long-length designation and 2 inch length of cut make it well suited for deep pocket milling, side wall finishing, and applications requiring clearance over part features. It is used in ferrous and non-ferrous machining on vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers, as well as manual knee mills where a solid carbide tool is appropriate.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for standard 1/2 inch collets, ER collet chucks, and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.5 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank to the full recommended insertion depth in the holder to minimize runout and prevent pullout under cutting load. Verify tool stick-out and length of cut clearance against workpiece features before initiating a program cycle.
