The ACCUPRO 95168668 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and hard material applications. It features a 5/8 inch cutting diameter with a 0.0250 inch corner radius, reducing stress concentrations at part corners and extending tool life compared to sharp-corner tooling. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with variable helix promotes chip evacuation and reduces chatter during cut. An AlTiN coating adds heat resistance and surface hardness, making this tool well suited for dry or semi-dry cutting in ferrous and hardened steels. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is appropriate for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations on machining centers and CNC mills where a radiused corner geometry is specified on the workpiece. The stub length type keeps deflection low in short-reach applications. With a 3/4 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length, it fits standard toolholding in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 5/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with common collet and end mill holder systems used in production and prototype machining environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with 5/8 inch collets or end mill holders. Suitable for ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar hard materials where AlTiN-coated solid carbide tooling is appropriate.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. The spindle must be fully stopped and the machine placed in an appropriate lockout state before changing tooling. Seat the 5/8 inch shank fully into the toolholder to the specified gauge line before tightening, and verify tool runout with an indicator after installation. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut based on workpiece material.
