The ACCUPRO 95168568 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. It features a 3/8-inch cutting diameter with a 0.0600-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, extending tool life in aggressive applications. The 5-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports higher feed rates and improved surface finish compared to standard 4-flute designs. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. This end mill is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece as well as perform peripheral and slot milling. It is installed and operated by machinist professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for use in job shops, tool and die, mold making, and production machining environments. The extended reach design, with a reach length of 2.125 inches and a neck diameter of 0.3375 inches, makes it effective for accessing deeper features and pockets where standard-length tools cannot reach. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic vibration during cutting, which is particularly valuable in long-reach or finishing operations on hardened steel, stainless steel, titanium, and similar difficult-to-machine materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter toolholder.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder to the full recommended grip depth before tightening. Inspect the toolholder bore and collet for runout before use, as excessive runout will reduce corner radius tool life and compromise dimensional accuracy. Always confirm spindle direction and programmed feeds and speeds are appropriate for the workpiece material and coating type before initiating a cut.
