The ACCUPRO 95168539 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering and edge-breaking operations on metallic workpieces. It features a 0.3125 inch mill diameter, a 1.375 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.0100 inch chamfer width. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed for consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. AlTiN coating provides thermal protection during high-speed cutting. Centercutting geometry allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece. Machining professionals in production and job-shop environments rely on this tool for controlled chamfer application on finished or semi-finished parts.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where precise chamfer width and edge prep are required. The long-length configuration with a 3 inch overall length and 5/16 inch shank diameter makes it appropriate for applications where reach into deep features or pockets is needed. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction match standard spindle configurations. Variable helix geometry helps reduce chatter during cutting. Typical use cases include chamfering drilled holes, deburring part edges, and preparing mating surfaces for assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chamfer end mill compatible with standard 5/16 inch tool holders and collet systems used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Confirm collet or holder bore matches the 5/16 inch shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting speeds and feeds for carbide end mills.
