The ACCUPRO 95168485 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 0.5-inch diameter with a 0.0600-inch corner radius, producing clean, radiused inside corners that reduce stress concentration and improve surface finish on finished parts. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with centercutting capability allows both peripheral and plunge cuts. An AlTiN coating provides high heat resistance and wear resistance, making this tool well suited for cutting hardened steels, stainless steels, and high-temperature alloys. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers on vertical and horizontal milling centers.
This end mill is built for extended-reach applications where standard-length tooling cannot access deep pockets, slots, or stepped features. The 3.375-inch reach length and 6-inch overall length allow the tool to enter deep cavities without interference from the shank or holder. A neck diameter of 0.450 inches provides clearance relief behind the cutting zone. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and precision part production where corner radius geometry is called out on the print. The 5/8-inch length of cut accommodates moderate axial engagement in these environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and manual knee mills equipped with standard 0.5-inch end mill holders or ER collet chucks.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or locked-out state. The shank should be seated to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer, and the holder should be torqued to the holder specification. Confirm runout at the cutting diameter with a dial indicator before production cutting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
