The ACCUPRO 95168484 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it handles high-temperature cutting environments and abrasive workpiece materials. The 0.5 inch diameter cutter features three flutes with a 60-degree spiral helix angle, producing aggressive chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The single-end configuration has a right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction and is center-cutting capable, allowing plunge entry as well as side milling. This end mill is intended for installation in CNC machining centers or manual mills by machinists and tooling professionals.
This end mill is suited for use in both production and job-shop environments where hard or abrasive materials demand extended tool life. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance that extends performance in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting conditions. The 1 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length make it appropriate for standard-depth pocketing, slotting, and contouring operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a regular-length reach is sufficient. No extended reach geometry is present, keeping the tool stiff and resistant to deflection in the cut.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for 1/2 inch collet or end mill holder systems used in standard CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists using a compatible 1/2 inch collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit toolholder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or quill is locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Verify shank seating depth and runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
