The ACCUPRO 95168483 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), this stub-length end mill handles demanding cutting conditions including hardened materials and elevated cutting temperatures. It features a 3-flute, spiral configuration with a 60-degree helix angle and right-hand cut direction. The centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for ferrous and non-ferrous materials in both CNC machining center and manual milling machine setups. The stub length profile provides added rigidity for applications where tool deflection is a concern, making it a practical choice for shallow pockets, slots, and face milling passes where a shorter reach is acceptable. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting strategies.
Designed as a standard shank solid carbide square end mill compatible with ER collet systems, shrink-fit holders, and side-lock holders accepting a 0.3125 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Verify that the holder bore and collet size match the 0.3125 inch shank diameter before clamping. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after installation to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
