The ACCUPRO 95168472 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.0100 inch chamfer width with a 45-degree chamfer angle. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in high-speed cutting applications. The variable helix geometry reduces chatter and improves surface finish. With centercutting capability and a right-hand cutting direction, this tool handles both plunge and peripheral cuts. Machinists and CNC operators use this end mill in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments.
This end mill is suited for chamfering, edge deburring, and countersinking on milled parts where tight tolerances and clean edge geometry are required. The stub length profile and 1/4 inch shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. Its single-end configuration and right-hand spiral flutes are appropriate for conventional finish passes on steel, stainless, cast iron, and hardened materials where the AlTiN coating offers thermal protection.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 1/4 inch shank corner chamfer end mill applications in collet chucks and end mill holders on vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or locked-out state. Seat the 1/4 inch shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use; do not run chipped or coated-damaged carbide tools at programmed speeds. Confirm chamfer width and angle in a test cut before committing to a production run.
