The ACCUPRO 95168443 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 1/2-inch mill diameter with a 0.0300-inch corner radius, producing controlled edge geometry that reduces chipping and extends tool life at the cutting corner. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures, making it well-suited for dry or semi-dry machining. With four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration and centercutting capability, this tool handles both peripheral and plunge cuts. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills equipped with appropriate collet or end mill holders. The 1/2-inch shank diameter fits standard ER32, ER40, and similar collet systems. The 5/8-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length make it appropriate for moderate-depth profiling, slotting, and contouring passes. The extended reach design, with a 2-3/8-inch reach length and 0.450-inch neck diameter, allows access to features with tighter clearance requirements without tool deflection becoming a primary concern at conservative feed rates.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or production end mill for CNC machining center spindles accepting a 1/2-inch shank diameter. Compatible with ER-style collet chucks, Weldon-flat holders, and hydraulic shrink-fit holders sized for 1/2-inch shanks.
A licensed machinist or qualified CNC operator should install this tool in a clean, undamaged collet or holder to the manufacturer-specified projection length for the application. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or tool-change state before inserting or removing the end mill. Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips, burrs, or runout before tightening. Follow the machine tool builder guidelines and applicable shop safety standards for tool clamping torque and runout verification before beginning a cut.
