The ACCUPRO 95168442 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 3/8-inch diameter and a 0.0300-inch corner radius, it produces blended transitions between floor and wall surfaces, reducing stress concentration and improving part finish. The 5-flute geometry with a 45-degree right-hand spiral helix supports higher feed rates and improved chip evacuation compared to standard 4-flute tools. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures, extending tool life when machining hardened steels, stainless, and high-temp alloys. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and versatile tool paths.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers running ferrous and exotic alloys in job shop, aerospace, die-mold, and precision parts manufacturing settings. The long-length configuration, with a 1-1/2-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length, accommodates deeper pockets and stepped features that standard-length tools cannot reach. The micrograin carbide substrate maintains edge integrity under high-speed and high-feed cutting strategies. Machinists and CNC programmers working with finishing passes, profile contours, and corner blending operations will find this geometry and coating combination well matched to tight-tolerance work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/8-inch straight shank collet or end mill holder.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine in a full stop and locked-out state. Verify collet or tool holder concentricity and torque the retention mechanism to the machine manufacturer's specification before spindle engagement. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before seating the tool. Follow the cutting tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and do not exceed the rated depth of cut for the flute length.
