The ACCUPRO 95168440 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.1969 inch (5 mm) cutting diameter and a 0.5906 inch (15 mm) length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life under high-speed cutting conditions. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and edge retention. Four spiral flutes with a variable helix geometry reduce chatter and improve chip evacuation. This end mill is center-cutting, allowing for direct plunge entry. It is a single-end, right-hand cut tool intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, profiles, and contours in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including hardened steels, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys. The regular length configuration makes it a practical choice for general-purpose operations on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where reach and rigidity are balanced. Its 0.1969 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders sized for 5 mm or 3/16 inch tooling. The AlTiN coating performs best in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting environments, making it well-suited for high-speed machining strategies.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills using 5 mm or equivalent collet systems and end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly given the close shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 / -0.0004 inches.
