The ACCUPRO 95168439 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, alloy, and hard-material applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock, this 5-flute tool delivers a 5/16 inch cutting diameter with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut (LOC) and a 45-degree helix angle. The AlTiN coating provides oxidation resistance and thermal hardness at elevated cutting temperatures, making it well suited for dry or high-speed machining. It is a single-end, centercutting tool with a right-hand cut and right-hand flute spiral. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this geometry for finishing passes and slotting in ferrous and exotic alloys.
This end mill fits standard milling machine, CNC machining center, and manual knee mill setups where a 5/16 inch shank is compatible with ER or similar collet systems. The long-series overall length of 4 inches provides additional reach for deeper pockets or stepped features without requiring extended-reach tooling adapters. Typical applications include slot milling, peripheral milling, and profiling on steel, stainless steel, titanium, and hardened alloy workpieces where heat generation is a concern and coating longevity matters.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 5/16 inch shank diameter via ER collet, end mill holder, or equivalent workholding. Verify spindle collet range and machine horsepower rating before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or tool holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the minimum engagement depth recommended by the holder manufacturer to prevent pullout under cutting load. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer feed and speed guidelines for the workpiece material and depth of cut being run.
