The ACCUPRO 95168417 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 3/16 inch cutting diameter and a 3/8 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent, accurate material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and wear resistance required for demanding cuts, while the nACRo coating reduces friction and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. Four right-hand spiral flutes with a variable helix angle help break up harmonics and reduce chatter during the cut, improving surface finish. Center-cutting geometry allows for plunge entry. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and profiling operations on steel, stainless steel, hardened materials, and similar alloys where a hard, low-friction coating is beneficial. The 3/16 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, making it compatible with standard collet chucks, ER collet systems, and end mill holders sized for 3/16 inch shanks. The 2 inch overall length keeps the tool compact for short-reach applications where rigidity is a priority. It is commonly used in vertical machining centers, horizontal mills, and manual knee mills.
Designed for use in standard 3/16 inch collet chucks, ER collet holders, and end mill holders. Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 3/16 inch shank tooling.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated. Ensure the collet or holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the specified gauge depth. Verify runout after clamping, as excessive runout will accelerate wear and degrade finish quality. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer recommendations for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material.
