The ACCUPRO 95168413 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering and edge-breaking on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 45-degree chamfer angle, and a 0.0150 inch chamfer width, making it well-suited for controlled edge prep in tight-tolerance machining environments. The AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life at higher cutting speeds. Micrograin carbide substrate adds toughness and wear resistance across demanding applications. This is a single-end tool intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill fits production and job-shop environments where consistent chamfer geometry is required. It is suitable for chamfering operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened alloys. The 6 inch overall length and 3-3/8 inch reach length make it effective in deep-pocket or extended-reach setups where standard-length tools cannot access the workpiece. The long-length classification and extended reach designation support applications requiring clearance from fixturing or part features.
Designed as a direct-use corner chamfer end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/2 inch straight shank. Compatible with standard 1/2 inch collets, end mill holders, and hydraulic or shrink-fit toolholders with matching bore diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before tool changes. Verify the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Confirm runout within acceptable limits after clamping before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tooling.
