The ACCUPRO 95168397 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in milling operations. It features a 0.3125 inch diameter with a 0.8125 inch length of cut and a 2.5 inch overall length. The three-flute, spiral-flute geometry runs a 60-degree helix angle, promoting aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating provides heat and wear resistance for extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. This tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and cuts in a right-hand direction with right-hand flute orientation. It is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC milling applications.
This end mill suits high-speed milling of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar hard materials in job shop, production, and maintenance machining environments. The micrograin solid carbide substrate supports tight tolerances and fine surface finishes. Mill diameter tolerance is plus 0.000 inches and minus 0.002 inches. Shank diameter tolerance is plus 0.0001 inches and minus 0.0004 inches. The regular-length profile fits standard CNC machining centers, knee mills, and toolroom mills where a 0.3125 inch shank collet or end mill holder is used.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills accepting a 0.3125 inch (5/16 inch) shank via collet chuck or end mill holder. Suitable for ferrous metals, hardened steels, and cast iron applications where an AlTiN-coated carbide tool is appropriate.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout verification. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended grip length and torque the retention nut according to the holder manufacturer specification. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the work material and coating type.
