The ACCUPRO 95168372 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling of ferrous and hard materials. It features a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) cutting diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut and a 1/4 inch shank diameter, giving it a compact stub-length profile suited for rigid, close-tolerance work. The four-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a variable helix angle improves chip evacuation and reduces harmonic vibration during cutting. The AlTiN coating provides high heat resistance, extending tool life in dry or minimal-lubrication machining environments. This end mill is single-end and centercutting, allowing plunge entry. It is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom professionals using CNC mills, manual mills, and machining centers.
This end mill is appropriate for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations in ferrous metals, stainless steel, hardened alloys, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The stub length type and 2 inch overall length make it well suited for setups where overhang must be minimized to maintain rigidity and surface finish quality. The AlTiN coating and micrograin carbide substrate support high-speed and high-temperature cutting conditions common in production and toolroom environments.
Designed as a stub-length, single-end square end mill for use in standard 1/4 inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following safe toolholding practices. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the collet or end mill holder before operation. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Handle carbide tooling carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edges during setup or storage.
