The ACCUPRO 95168370 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and a 1/2 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent, accurate results in finishing and semi-finishing applications. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic chatter, allowing smoother cuts at higher feed rates. The nACRo coating provides enhanced heat resistance and lubricity, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. Micrograin carbide construction supports the tight diameter tolerances held on this tool, making it a dependable choice for machinists requiring repeatable performance.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills across job shop, production, and toolroom environments. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration makes it compatible with standard spindle rotation on the vast majority of milling machines. The centercutting capability allows for plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling passes. It is commonly used for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
Designed as a standard shank solid carbide square end mill for use in ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state before mounting or removing cutting tools. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended engagement depth for your toolholder type to prevent pullout under load. Verify runout at the tool tip before commencing a cut to protect both the workpiece and the tool.
