The ACCUPRO 95168351 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it handles high-heat cutting environments where tool life and edge retention are critical. The 0.0150-inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending service life when profiling hardened materials. At 0.5000 inches in diameter with a 1-1/4-inch length of cut and 3-inch overall length, this is a standard-reach, single-end tool suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and toolmakers.
This end mill is well suited for finish profiling, slotting, and contouring in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials where AlTiN coating provides thermal protection. The 5-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with variable helix improves chip evacuation and reduces chatter during high-feed passes. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, adding flexibility in tool path programming. The 1/2-inch shank fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders common in production and job shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for standard 1/2-inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and hydraulic chucks used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the recommended gauge line, ensuring the collet or set-screw engagement does not bear on the fluted section. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are calculated for the workpiece material and coating type before engaging the cut. Inspect the tool edge for chipping before each use; carbide tools should not be run with visible edge damage.
