The ACCUPRO 95168349 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/2 inch diameter cutting head with a 0.0200 inch corner radius, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 2-1/2 inch overall length. The four-flute, right-hand spiral design delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in high-speed and dry cutting conditions. Micrograin carbide substrate adds wear resistance and edge retention. This tool is single-end and centercutting, allowing for both plunge and peripheral cuts. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments install and run this tool.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The stub length classification keeps the tool rigid and reduces deflection during heavy side milling or slotting passes. The right-hand cutting direction and variable helix geometry help reduce chatter and improve finish quality on contoured or profiled surfaces. The 0.0200 inch corner radius breaks sharp edges on finished features and reduces stress concentration at inside corners. Typical applications include slot milling, shoulder milling, and profile milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where corner geometry and surface finish are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/2 inch straight shank with standard ER or side-lock toolholders.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be stopped and the tool changer or spindle locked before installing or removing the end mill. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after seating in the holder, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for collet nuts or set screws — do not overtighten.
