The ACCUPRO 95168347 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN, it handles high-heat cutting environments where tool wear and thermal load are primary concerns. The 1/2 inch diameter cutter features 5 flutes, a 1/2 inch shank diameter, and a 0.0100 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping on workpiece corners. Overall length is 3 inches with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut. A variable helix geometry reduces harmonic vibration during aggressive passes. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for profiling, slotting, and finishing operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a controlled corner break is required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting rotation make it compatible with standard CNC machining center spindle configurations. The AlTiN coating extends tool life in dry or near-dry cutting conditions, particularly in hardened steels and stainless alloys. The regular length classification positions it as a general-purpose tool for most cavity and contour milling setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutting tool for standard 1/2 inch collet and end mill holder systems used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet, shrink-fit holder, or end mill holder and torque to the tool holder specification before engaging the spindle. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before production cuts. Always verify spindle direction and feed rate parameters in the control program before first engagement to avoid tool breakage.
