The ACCUPRO 95168289 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for precision milling applications in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), this single-end tool delivers extended tool life and heat resistance in demanding cutting conditions. The 0.0300-inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, helping produce smooth floor-to-wall transitions in milled pockets and slots. With a 1/2-inch diameter and 5-flute geometry paired with a variable helix design, this end mill is suited for high-feed finishing and semi-finishing passes on hardened and abrasive workpiece materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is designed for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where close-tolerance pocket milling, profiling, and contouring are required. The 1-1/4-inch length of cut accommodates moderate depth-of-cut requirements in steel, stainless, cast iron, and high-temp alloys. The AlTiN coating makes it particularly effective in dry or near-dry cutting environments where heat buildup is a concern. The centercutting configuration allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 1/2-inch diameter ER, CAT, BT, and HSK toolholding systems used in CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm seating within acceptable tolerances for your application. Follow your facility safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines for tool changeout and spindle speeds.
