The ACCUPRO 95168279 is a single-end, square-profile solid carbide end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 3/8-inch cutting diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and five flutes ground from micrograin carbide stock. The AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance, making this tool well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting conditions at higher surface speeds. A variable helix geometry reduces harmonic chatter during aggressive cuts, improving surface finish and extending tool life. This end mill is center-cutting, allowing it to plunge directly into workpiece material. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This end mill is intended for milling ferrous and hardened materials including alloy steels, stainless steels, and cast iron, where heat generation and tool deflection are primary concerns. The regular-length body and right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits conventional ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders of the same bore size. It is a practical choice for slot milling, profiling, and shoulder milling operations in production and job shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 3/8-inch bore end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and hydraulic toolholders used on CNC and manual milling machines.
This end mill should be installed by a qualified machinist familiar with proper toolholder torque procedures and runout verification. Inspect the shank and holder bore for contamination or damage before seating the tool. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate parameters against the material being cut and the tool diameter before initiating a cut. Never exceed the tool length of cut when engaging the workpiece, as cutting beyond the flute length risks tool breakage and workpiece damage.
