The ACCUPRO 95168257 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 1/2-inch cutting diameter, a 0.0100-inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a variable helix for improved chip evacuation and reduced chatter. The AlTiN coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous materials and hardened steels. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be used for plunging as well as peripheral and slot milling. It is sized in the stub length category, making it well-suited for rigid setups where overhang must be minimized.
This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Stub-length corner radius end mills are commonly applied in die and mold work, finishing passes on hardened steel cavities, and contour milling where a controlled radius at the cutting edge is required to blend surfaces or avoid sharp corners. The 5/8-inch length of cut and 1/2-inch shank diameter make this tool a direct fit for standard ER or set-screw toolholders with a 1/2-inch bore.
Designed for use in 1/2-inch bore toolholders including ER collet chucks, hydraulic holders, and set-screw holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an energy-isolated state before changing tooling. Verify collet bore and shank diameter match before seating the tool, and confirm tool stick-out is minimized to maintain rigidity. Always confirm spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cutting direction of this tool before engaging the workpiece.
